How I draw: I start each book by first choosing the color scheme, which defines the spirit of each book. Color is very important to me. In fact, I illustrate directly with color without linework in Procreate. This allows me to produce illustrations in a speedy manner. 

Character design: After deciding on animal characters for my first book, I continued with the same styles for each following book in the series. My drawings also depict traditional Chinese clothing, settings, and tools, which give the audience a more in-depth look into the culture beyond what can be explained by words. While all my characters are anthropomorphic animals (animals being of course intrinsically cuter than humans😺), I would like to do some human characters in the future when I’m done with this series.
